Monday night saw me in Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, I was hoping to get a good sunset shot with the sunlight being bounced off the various high rise blocks there, but it didn’t happen. Such is the life of a photographer, some things just don’t work out especially when mother nature is involved. The sunset just fizzled out. Still there’s always another day.
Not one to give up Wednesday night i tried again. This time I thought i would try Mayflower Park on the edge of the docks. With the sunset going down at the top of the docks, a couple of cruise ships tied alongside, the scene was set for what could have been a good shoot. However upon my arrival in the park I didn’t account for the hordes of people having bbqs and just taking in the evening sun. The lack of any form of social distancing was a worry, so I took myself away from the area and went to Marchwood instead. Far less people there on the quayside walk, felt a lot safer. Anyway I managed to get a good couple of shots of the sun going down over the container terminal and a few after sunset. Please check out the gallery for these shots.
